These beautiful birds grace my Banksia garden every summer after the breeding season. And every year I watch the interactions between fledglings harassing their parents for food and social groups of adults absorbed in feeding while a single male sentinel sits quietly high above looking out for threats.  This particular pair shows the male displaying to the female with his stunning tail fully fanned, his head bowed and neck hackles puffed out, he is turning on his full display to further consolidate the pair bond between them.
