I do enjoy coming up with a title that is apt for a painting. This one comes from the 1800's from the time of theatrical dancing girls on river boats doing high kicks in multi coloured frocks, oddly resembling the crest bands on this cockatoo, not to mention the attention seeking nature of the term.
